Many of our customers have drastically increased their productivity levels by investing in an overhead crane or jib crane. Today you don’t have to settle for lifting loads and objects that are simply too heavy and bulky to be raised by hand and the two most common types of cranes we supply are overhead cranes and jib cranes.
We can supply new and used overhead cranes that are manufactured to reach almost every inch of your factory or workshop. This is achieved by the main crane beam spanning the width of the workshop, whilst being supported by up-right columns of steel that hold the running rails for the crane to travel down the shop (we call this ‘downshop’). The hoist is then situated on the main crane beam and it can horizontally traverse along the beam by the power of the 'cross travel' wheels, which are also controlled by the operator. The operator then also has complete control over the hoist controls for lifting and lowering.
Unlike overhead cranes, swing jib cranes are perfect for those who do not require a lifting function in every corner of their workshop. Jib cranes are supplied to load lathes and other types of machinery that operate with heavy loads, whilst they are also excellent tools when it comes to maintenance applications.
